Farmhouse Breakfast Week is an annual campaign run by HGCA which has been running since the year 2000. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast and demonstrate the variety on offer.
Farmhouse Breakfast Week once again proved to be a great success this year with hundreds of events taking place all over the country in celebration of breakfast.
For 2011 the HGCA, the Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) and Tesco Scotland collaborated to produce three area-specific competitions which encourage Scottish school children to think about the nutritional and physical benefits of a healthy breakfast.

In 2011 RHET decided to run three regional Farmhouse Breakfast Week competitions in the following areas:
Perth & Kinross:
READY, STEADY, BREKKIE!
For 2011 RHET Perth & Kinross CI is running a new unique Farmhouse Breakfast Competition, in conjunction with Tesco!

Scottish Borders:
RHET Scottish Borders are focussing on every Scot's breakfast favourite: PORRIDGE!!!

RHET Angus CI held the biggest Farmhouse Breakfast Week EVER for Angus and Dundee schools in January 2011!

By taking part in Farmhouse Breakfast Week across Scotland, schools will be doing their bit as a Health Promoting School and meet experiences and outcomes in a number of curricular areas such as:
