Designed to give children from urban backgrounds the experience of getting out of the classroom - and into the countryside!
RHET Estate Days provide the opportunity for school pupils to learn about the life and processes of a working Scottish Estate.
These events are designed to give children who would benefit most from an outdoor learning experience an insight into how their food is produced, with hands-on activities to really get "stuck-in" and develop their interest in the countryside.
In a typical event, classes from six local urban schools are invited for the day, approximately 180 children altogether.
On the estate children take part in hands-on activity sessions around the estate grounds, linked to farming, the environment and conservation.
