Farmers

RHET believes that it is essential to re-establish a link between the people of Scotland, the food it consumes, the farmers that produce that food and the rural economies that support them.

All of our projects and activities with Scottish school-children are designed to work toward this end.

We know that it is those people "on the ground" in agricultural production that are best placed and most qualified to deliver this message.

This is why all of RHET's projects and activities use the expertise of farmers and those involved in rural industries. Together we can work to educate Scottish pupils in how their food is produced and all of the related issues associated with farming and the countryside.

The backbone of our organisation are the hundreds of volunteers who generously give up their time to participate in one of the many RHET activities throughout the year. Without them, RHET would simply cease to operate!
