School group bookings will open within the next few months. To stay updated for when bookings go live please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
We will also be putting out a call for volunteers to assist at this year's Highland Show soon!
If required, please refer to the Information for Teachers link below to help prepare for your future visit.
The Royal Highland Show is considered a great day out for families and individuals keen to experience the best Scotland has to offer. The RHET Discovery Centre is open from 9am to 5pm each day and is open to the public over all four days.
RHET organises a variety of hands-on activities for children and a selection of our partners and organisations provide sessions which can be found in both the Centre and across the showground.
See what was on offer last year here. Please note that this list is indicative only and is not a reflection on what will be available in 2019.
School groups can organise their trip to the show through RHET. Many groups request the option to take a guided tour or participate in bookable sessions to discover more about food, farming and the countryside.
If your school wishes to take part please see the school group booking section below. There are, however, many drop-in and sign-up sessions available to those not in school groups.
The Discovery Centre relies on volunteers to help deliver some of the sessions as well as lead tours for schools on the Thursday and Friday. If you are interested in helping, please see the link below.
The Royal Highland Show 2019 will take place from 20th-23rd June with school groups being welcomed by RHET on the Thursday and Friday.
We look forward to seeing you next year at the Show!
