RHET's work could not continue without the generous time donated by our hundreds of volunteers who help us with farm visits, classroom talks, estate days, running area committees, healthy eating events, taking tractors into schools and the Royal Highland Show.
We are always looking for people who are willing to spend some time helping us to spread the word about farming in Scotland and the Scottish countryside.
We are in need of:
Classroom Speakers – we offer training and provide you with relevant resources
Farms & Estates – for school visits to take place
Committee Members – you can join your local Countryside Initiative Committee
Stewards and Helpers – for school events, estate days and in the Education Centre during the Royal Highland Show
By getting involved you will become part of a national network of hundreds of farmers, rural workers and like-minded volunteers who pass on their expertise and enthusiasm about food, farming and the countryside. This is where the strength in RHET's work lies. A spark of interest in a young child can grow into informed adult choices as a consumer, parent, land-owner or in business.
If you would like to get involved please take a look at what is happening In Your Area and contact your local Project Coordinator.
If you would like to volunteer at The Royal Highland Show please complete the online RHS volunteer form or contact RHET central on 0131 335 6227.
If you are currently a RHET volunteer, please take a few minutes to read our Volunteer Policy (updated 2016).
