Forth Valley RHET Run

The Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) organised a family fun run through Blair Drummond Safari Park on the 16th of June 2018. This was the second year that the fun run has taken place and saw over 120 runners take part.

Participants chose either a 3km or 5km run starting at Briarlands Farm and followed the route around Blairdrummond Safari Park. The day started with torrential rain in the morning, but by the afternoon the sun was shining  for the start of the run.

The event volunteers were treated to burgers courtesy of Fallaninch Farm Butchers. At the end of the course each runner received a completion medal and enjoyed   a carton of milk provided by Graham’s Family Dairy.

Over £1,300 was raised for RHET Forth Valley. The money will go towards taking 13 schools from the area out to real, working farms to learn more about where their food comes from and how it is produced.
